Erica Davidson owns and operates East Tennessee Music Therapy, where she has provided invaluable music therapy services to young individuals in the Knoxville area since 2021.

Becoming a Music Therapist

Erica attended Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, GA and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Therapy (BMT) in 2013. Subsequently, she earned the Music Therapy Board Certification (MT-BC) designation from the Certification Board of Music Therapy in 2014, a credential that signifies her advanced clinical competence and commitment to professional standards.

How She Helps

Erica specializes in working with children (ages 6-18) dealing with mental, emotional, and behavioral issues. Her eclectic, client-centered approach primarily involves music but also elements of play therapy and now Dialectical Behavior Therapy* (DBT). She tailors her methods to meet the unique needs of each child, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone. She also works closely with families to promote understanding and provide tools for navigating life's challenges.

Personal Life

When not working, Erica is a wife and mother of one, enjoying family time and embracing outdoor activities in her local community. She loves walking greenways, boating, attending festivals, reading, cooking, listening to music and podcasts, coloring, crafting, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Tennessee VOLS and Green Bay Packers (“Go Pack Go!”).
